Design as a Method for Lasting Use
Founded in 2002, Vermilion Zhou Design Group approaches design as a response to real patterns of use. Over the past two decades, we have completed more than 1,000 projects across public, commercial, office, hospitality, and residential spaces, with extensive experience in long-term operation and continuous use, particularly in branded hospitality.
These experiences have shaped our belief that the value of design lies not in one-time expression, but in whether it can be understood, reused, and remain effective over time.
For this reason, our work begins with the problem, applying clear logic and collaboration to translate design into systems that endure.
Grounded in a contemporary Eastern way of thinking, we focus on human scale, efficiency, and emotional experience, establishing design methods that are sustainable, replicable, and able to stand the test of time under limited resources.
